Our Wedding

(Caysi's Version) Kevin and I met pursuing our BFAs in Musical Theatre at Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ. I didn’t exactly love my first year of college and had decided to call it quits halfway through my sophomore year. Knowing I was leaving Rider put me in a “why not” and “say yes to everything” mindset. Which ultimately was why when my college roommate asked if I wanted to go to a party at Kevin and his roommates’ apartment one Friday night in late January of 2015, I said yes. I’ll never forget the mental screenshot of Kevin winking at me&nbsp;as I left his apartment that night. I was in total disbelief. The very next night, with the help of some liquid courage, Kevin and I found ourselves discussing at length our shared love for Disney Parks. It became clear we had a lot more than a love of Disney in common—including Kevin being Dunkin’ coffee-obsessed and me having just won $500 in Dunkin’ gift cards in a Twitter contest :P We talked and talked throughout the entire evening and ended the night with 2AM Quesadillas at the on-campus restaurant “Crans.” From then on, we were pretty much inseparable. Needless to say, I did not end up leaving Rider. Kevin officially asked me to be his girlfriend on February 15th, 2015 at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square New York. We spent the remainder of Kevin's year and a half left of college falling in love, being college students, growing up, performing, and going on countless adventures together. After Kevin graduated, we spent a summer performing together in ZACH Theatre's production of MARY POPPINS in Austin, TX and "playing house" in Kevin's actor-housing. It was during this summer that we began planning our future and decided to move to Orlando, FL together. We moved into our first apartment after I graduated at the end of 2016. Since then we've spent a year living in New York City, moved back to Central Florida, adopted a dog (Jax), survived a pandemic, started new careers, bought a house, and got engaged on the St. Petersburg pier in November of 2023 (Kevin absolutely nailed it!) We love our little lives together and could not be happier to finally celebrate our tying the knot with the people we love most. Thank you for being our supporters and our favorite people!

Caysi and Resa were roommates all throughout college. Their college years consisted of riding across campus on their Razor scooters, day trips all across the Tri-State area to avoid college parties, and Caysi teaching Resa to drive in the Rider parking lot. Resa very quickly became more than a roommate and even more than a best friend. To this day, Resa is Caysi's "person."

Back when they were kids, Kevin seeing his younger brother, Brian, perform in SEUSSICAL is what inspired Kevin to pursue musical theatre himself. To this day, Brian continues to inspire Kevin with his kindness, drive, passion, and positive outlook on life. While Kevin is grateful to have Brian by his side during this special occasion, he's even more grateful to have a built-in best friend for life.

Dustin (affectionately known as Dusty), is Caysi's little brother. Growing up, Caysi and Dusty could not have been more different. As they entered adulthood, the two established a relationship built on an unwavering love and support for one another. Dusty is always there for Caysi when she needs him-- she just may have to listen to one of the latest songs he's produced first.

Caysi and Hannah went to college together and lived together their Sophomore year. Saturday early morning trips to "Daly's" (Rider's dining hall) became their special thing. Post-Rider, Caysi and Hannah formed one the most special bonds Caysi's ever known. Hannah understands Caysi sometimes better than she does herself and is the most loving, supportive confidant a girl could ask for.

As a kid, Caysi's favorite times of the year were holidays or family reunions when she and Molly, her much cooler/slightly older cousin, got into all sorts of shenanigans-- convincing anyone who would listen that they were Olympic Inner-tubing champions, early morning Black Friday shopping, etc. Caysi and Molly give a mean performance of Taylor Swift's "All Too Well." Don't ask them about it unless you've got 10 minutes to spare.

Kevin and Colby were essentially a package deal all throughout college. They lived together all four years, had pretty much the exact same class schedule, performed in countless Rider productions together, and participated in any sort of Tomfoolery they could dream up together. No matter how much time goes by, Kevin and Colby pick up exactly where they left off each time one of them decides to pick up the phone.

Though they grew up running in the same circles, Kevin and Kurt never could've imagined their friendship today. On any given Sunday, you'll find Kevin and Kurt out golfing together. On any given Tuesday, you'll find the two out at a local watering hole gearing up for a riveting session of Dungeons and Dragons. Kurt is someone that Kevin can always rely on for both the good times and the bad. Simply put, Kurt is an incredible friend.

Kevin and Joey have been best friends for upwards of 15 years. A lot has changed in those 15 years, but their friendship still looks starkly similar to those early high school days--  Football Sundays, jamming to Jason Mraz, and munching on whatever they've opted to cook that day. Joey brings out the best in Kevin and is a friend Kevin never has to put on a show for. No matter how much life evolves, these two will always be there for each other.

Taylor is another one of Caysi's college buddies. When Kevin introduced Taylor to Joey (Taylor's now husband), the two knew they'd be in each other's lives for a long time. Caysi is incredibly grateful to have Taylor live so close and to be able to "do life" together. The two are notorious for their "girls nights" running around Walt Disney World, calling each other "just for fun," and cheering each other on through everything life throws their way.

When Kevin was in need of fourth roommate his Junior year of college, he had no idea that in extending an invite to David he had found a life-long friend. What started as two college kids playing hours upon hours of "Rocket League" and "Battlefront 2" has transitioned to two men always having each others backs and navigating this thing we call "adulthood" together. Dave is one of the most loyal friends in Kevin's life.

Kevin, Caysi, their immediate families, and wedding parties will be spending the weekend at the beautiful Embassy Suites by Hilton St. Augustine Beach Oceanfront Resort. Only steps to the beach and a 10 minute drive from Downtown St. Augustine, this oceanfront resort offers spacious suites, free made-to-order breakfast, several on-site restaurants and bars, beach access, an outdoor pool, and fitness center. While we do not have a group hotel block, we encourage staying at this resort in order to maximize the wedding celebrations-- ie day after wedding beach day, etc. Transportation will be provided to and from the wedding venue to this resort (see Q+A tab for more details.) If you are planning to stay at the Embassy Suites, we highly recommend making your reservation as soon as possible. We anticipate the hotel booking out quickly/well in advance.

There are tons of alternative lodging accommodations in the area. If planning to attend any pre/post-wedding festivities, we recommend staying in the St Augustine Beach area (close by the Embassy Suites detailed above.) If planning to attend the wedding ceremony/reception only, there are closer accommodations to the wedding venue, St. Johns Golf &amp; Country Club. Please be aware St. Augustine Beach is approximately a 35 minute drive from the wedding venue. Please join us for a laid-back beach day the day after the wedding! We plan to camp out in front of the <a href="https://www.hilton.com/en/hotels/ustboes-embassy-suites-st-augustine-beach-oceanfront-resort/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Embassy Suites St. Augustine Beach</a> (300 A1A Beach Blvd, St. Augustine, FL 32080) around noon. Keep your eye out for a large blue beach tent labeled "Sun Ninja." Though the beach area immediately in front of the resort is a private beach, St. Augustine Beach itself is a public beach. In other words, those not staying at the Embassy Suites are more than welcome to join! Parking Options for Non-Resort Guests Include:-Free Parking at <a href="https://www.visitstaugustine.com/thing-to-do/st-johns-county-ocean-pier" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">St. Johns County Ocean Pier &amp; Courts Park</a> (350 A1A Beach Blvd, St. Augustine, FL 32080) immediately to the right of the Embassy Suites **space likely to be limited**-$15/day parking available at the Embassy Suites (valet only) Restrooms are available at the St. Johns County Ocean Pier. The Embassy Suites' beachfront bar &amp; restaurant (Castaway Cantina) is open to the public. Additionally, there several restaurants within walking distance (ie <a href="https://www.saltlifefoodshack.com/st-augustine-beach" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Salt Life Food Shack</a> across the street.) Given all guests staying at the Embassy Suites receive 4 resort passes (access to pool areas) per suite, we anticipate there being extra resort passes to share with non-resort guests. However if you are not staying on property and want to ensure access to the Embassy Suites pool areas, the resort does offer a Day Pass for purchase via <a href="https://www.resortpass.com/hotels/embassy-suites-st-augustine-beach" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">ResortPass</a> (current rate is $60/adult and $30/child.) This Day Pass includes access to their outdoor pool and hot tub, lounge chairs, towels, and poolside entertainment.
